Close cousin to the Girandola wheel, the paint stick tourbillion is much easier and less time-consuming to build. Consisting of a heavy wall case, usually ¾" I.D. x 7½" long or 7/8" I.D. x 10" long, filled with a modified rocket propellant and capped off on each end with a clay plug.
