TOURBILLION & FARFALLE INSERT TOOLING
This is a handy multi-use tool that can be used to produce farfalle and several different versions of tourbillion shell inserts. Machined from 6061 aluminum, each set includes a solid rammer, tapered rammer, ramming base, tube extender, drill jig and brass puller. The drill jig features 3 different exhaust hole options. By using the center set of holes and drilling straight through the tube a farfalle effect is produced. Using one of the holes towards the end of the jig will produce a single exhaust tourbillion (the tube is then generally topped off with a report composition and capped with a paper plug). Finally, using two holes at opposite ends and opposite sides of the drill jig will produce a double exhaust tourbillion. One set of the tourbillion holes is drilled at 90 degrees (perpendicular to the jig), the other set is drilled at 100 degrees (pointing slightly towards the end of the jig). Some folks have reported better effects from the 100 degree hole, others prefer the 90 degree hole. The included drill jig gives you options to use either hole arrangement.
